Peninsula Properties Hong Kong offers a comprehensive orientation program with the focus on “Specialised Consultation”.  Clients have specific concerns and requirements and a tailor made package is provided to suit individual and family needs.

Peninsula Properties Hong Kong Relocation Consultants works closely with you and your company’s Human Resources department to ensure open communication and understanding.

Prior to Arrival

We will be in touch with you prior to your arrival and answer all your questions on living in Hong Kong. We can advise you on what to ship, and can arrange temporary accommodation in a serviced apartment or hotel. If you have schooled aged children, we will register them at your school of choice prior to your arrival.

All necessary information on schools will be forwarded to you so that you may make the best choice for your child’s educational needs, be it Kindergarten, Pre School, Primary School or High School.

Upon Arrival

We will meet and greet you and take you to your accommodation, ensuring that your arrival is the beginning of a wonderful new life in Hong Kong.  Any special needs can be accommodated.

Day One

We will collect you at your accommodation and presenting you with an Information Package that consists of maps, useful phone numbers information on transportation and a wealth of knowledge essential to living as an expatriate in Hong Kong.

The tour of your new environment commences with a trip through the Central business district where you will see many rushing to and from their offices, points of interest are the Hong Kong Bank with its impressive Lions, the Legislative Council Building and the wonderful ever rising skyline, to stand in Central and look up is a breathtaking experience.   We proceed to Midlevels.

Midlevels is positioned midway between Central and Victoria Peak. Here we will show you some attractions such as Hong Kong Park, Schools, Hospitals and Recreational Clubs. You will also see where a large percentage of expatriates choose to reside: Robinson Road, Conduit Road, May Road,Tregunter Path & Old Peak Road..From here it is through to Wanchai where we will drive down Queen’s Road and show you a host of shops selling everything from soft furnishings, curtains, reproduction antique furniture and household goods and take a walk through the street market area.

Your next destination will be the Peak. From this vantagepoint you will see the splendor of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Points of interest are the Peak tram which is “quick commuting” from the Peak to downtown Central. 

We proceed down the mountain and travel to Happy Valley where you will see the famous Happy Valley Racecourse and the Hong Kong Football Club, a tour through the Happy Valley Village and onto Causeway Bay and across one of the busiest intersections, department stores such as Sogo, Ikea for most home needs, Toy’s R Us for the children and a super Computer Center will be introduced.

The Aberdeen Tunnel takes us to the south side of the island and Shouson Hill, which provides desirable low-rise housing in close proximity to the city. Past Ocean Park this will become a favourite with the young and the young at heart, On to the Hong Kong Country Club and on Deep Water Bay and the Deep Water Bay Golf Club. Deep Water Bay is popular for BBQ’s and Water Skiing.

Repulse Bay, and one of the prettiest beaches on the south side, you will see the famous Dragon Building and be shown residential areas that are wonderful for expatriate living providing for all your needs.

A drive thru Chung Hom Kok and on to Stanley. A visit would not be complete without a stroll through the colourful market and a stop for lunch and a quick visit to the new Park and Shop which provides all those “grocery items and more”

After lunch we proceed to Tai Tam exploring this tranquil and family orientated bay. Points of interest are the America Club, the American School and Pre Schools and the panoramic Redhill Peninsula Bay, where you will see some wonderful living opportunities in apartments and houses enjoying spectacular water views

This location is extremely popular for its close proximity to the Hong Kong International School.

Over the Tai Tam Reservoir and along the Eastern Corridor past Quarry Bay and back to your accommodation for a well earned rest.

Day Two

Once again we will collect you from your accommodation and take you to your pre arranged school appointments for tours of the schools and meetings with the school administrator. This can be a lengthy process, as some schools require testing of pupils prior to enrolment.

Day Three

Now that Hong Kong is felling more familiar to you the house hunting begins in earnest, we will take you through homes that suit your families needs and budget.

The house hunting will take several days and once you have chosen your new home your relocation expert will negotiate with the landlord on your behalf and ensure that all negotiations and documentation is taken care of. We will arrange for your utilities to be connected and ensure that renovations are carried out so that your home will be ready for you as soon as possible.

Shopping

What Hong Kong is all about, you have your home the fun of shopping to fill it begins. As seasoned shoppers we know all the right places and will take you to many of the great shopping places in Hong Kong where the choices will be immense. We will show you the best places to buy from, where to have your curtains made and we even have your very own “Interior Decorator” available free of charge to give you guidance and advice

The Legal's

We will take you to the Immigration Department when it comes time for you to obtain your Identification Card. We will also take you to the Transport Department to obtaining your Driver’s License etc. We are able to assist you in the hiring of domestic helpers, and help you enroll you and your family at your embassy.

Day Tours

Fee Schedule

As our Orientation Package is vast we provide you with the opportunity to select those items that are of importance and interest to you.

Our fees for the above packages range in prices. If we are the agents that secures your rental property there will be no Orientation Fee charged, as the agreed rental commission will be payment in full.

If we do not provide housing and you wish to engage our Orientation Services a fee upon application will be provided.
